Thank you to the team at the PNE for the opportunity to capture the first ever event at The Freedom Mobile Arch for their Inaugural Event. The construction workers were laying the literal final bricks of this phenomenal venue when we arrived to set up for the evening.
The Inaugural Event featured over 200 performers and was designed to reflect the creative spirit of BC, and of the shared history of the PNE and the role it has played in the collective memories of our province. This 90-minute event blended a meaningful Indigenous cultural welcome, music, dance, comedy and storytelling into a celebration of our rich cultural past with headlining performances by Jann Arden and Colin James. Guests to this event also had the first public opportunity to view the significant and important pieces of Indigenous art that anchor this place.
